As I said in a previous post, I've been watching a lot of scenery tutorials on YouTube recently and the other day one caught my eye in a kind of, "Hey, I could do that" way. So I gave it a shot.

Neglected but Not Forgotten: Lord Karghoul

I've got three of Reaper's evil warriors, so now it's time for one by Hasslefree.

Maggotcrown Ogre Juggernaut

Much like Razmir, I don't know what "Maggotcrown" means. Reaper does a range of minis with that term so I'm assuming it's a setting or faction in a game. Whatever it is, it suits this hulking mountain of metal to a tee. In light of his intimidating size and menacing skull head, I've named him Tim.

Slaanesh Warband (and Fembruary): Lewdbeast

Lewdbeast is the last Daemonette I need to complete my unit for my Slaanesh warband. I "accidentally" found her while "accidentally" browsing Ebay in December and "accidentally" bought her. And she'll count as my first entry for the Fembruary painting challenge!

Although I can't abide spiders, I bought this not-so-mini because it looks cool and is something different to paint. I picked it up during my last visit to Brookhurst Hobbies, about a week before we left California. I actually bought quite a few figures during that visit, but the majority of them are in storage.

Lockdown Unit Challenge part 1

With my Slaanesh warband project progressing nicely and loads of time on my hands, you'd think I'd be churning out painted minis. Nope. We all have our slumps, and I'm no exception. Then Dave over at Wargame Sculptors decided to announce a Lockdown Challenge: paint a unit of troops, in any genre, and it gave me the kick in the backside I needed to hit the paints again.

According to the Pathfinder Wiki, sinspawn are "emaciated horrors with unnaturally long arms and legs". I didn't know that when I saw it on the rack of Reaper minis at Brookhurst Hobbies back in August, only that it looks creepy and cool.
