Dinosaurs! With laser guns!

How could I not buy these? It's like someone took space, laser guns and dinosaurs and said, "Hey, let's combine these into Matt's ideal childhood dream!"

Monster Mayhem: Jötunn Moder

I'm running late with this year's Monster May(hem); by this time last year I'd knocked out three models. But finally here's my first entry in 2023's challenge.

I've had this weird little chap for a few months and got around to painting him over the last week.

Monster May(hem): Hell Hounds

Oops, wrong photo. Although at times this pair does qualify as hell hounds, especially if a squirrel farts anywhere in the forest outside the house.

Squealer Squad Two

After overcoming my cold, I pressed on with these little chaps and finished the second batch a couple of days ago. I'm well happy with how they turned out, and I'd like to introduce Samantha, Bruno, Tim, Rasher and Jim.

Fembruary: Sasquatch

My best friend, Gareth, recently turned 50 a few days after me, so I decided to get him a pressie to mark the occasion. As he's a big fan of the Sasquatch legend I picked up this Reaper mini as a suitable gift.

Forgotten Heroes: Weird and pissed off

In case anyone is wondering, the title for this post comes from Clark in The Thing: "I don't know what the hell's in there, but it's weird and pissed off, whatever it is".

Porkchop the Porkgre

Porkchop was part of RBJ Game's Yippers and Squealers Kickstarter, which I backed in December and received in March. I actually pledged for the Squealers core set, but when I saw him on the RBJ site I decided to pick him up too because let's face it, why would I not want a massive pig armed with a cleaver and meathook?

If you can't have a bit of fun with a hobby that involves painting small toys figures, then what's the point? Along with Space Mouslings, Reaper also does a series of horror minis in a style called chibi — basically, short and cute with large eyes. I bought two of the werewolf chibis, called Lon, to paint up as Cadbury and Erebus.
