On hiatus

With our move to New England only 11 days(!) away, I've packed away all my figures/paints/basing stuff and all the other accoutrements of the hobby. The boxes above contain all my brushes and paints along with a bunch of unpainted minis, bases, superglue and everything else I'll need to get some painting done once we're there.

To my eternal shame, I failed miserably to get my Warhammer cottage finished, even though I had eight weeks to make it. Was it really that long ago? Where did the time go? It too is safely packed away and will be finished on the other side of the country. Honest. The only issue is where I'm going to put my 24-inch by 12-inch cutting mat as we don't have a box big enough for it. At least my painted figures are safe in a carrying case, right up until I accidentally sit on it.

I've started a blog about our move. I was using WordPress to do it, but I had a falling out with it so I'm back to Blogger. We cannot wait to get to the Green Mountain State; it's just a shame about the minor details like packing all our stuff and the 2,900-mile road trip.

I should be back to posting about miniatures in late September.

  1. Best of luck with the more Matt, hope all goes well.

Good job you don't have to build your new house, isn't it!

Sorry couldn't resist, feel free to throw something at me :)

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Thanks, Roger, and yes, I'm very happy we'll be buying a constructed house and I won't have to worry about building it :-)

  2. Hope the move goes well Matt, with a move getting the cottage finished is a low priority, making sure everything is safely packed is far more important.
Will see you on the flipside of this new adventure

  3. Welcome to the neighborhood, man! We're neighbors now, at least state-wise. VT hosts the Piper's Gathering, which, as you might expect, I find pretty cool.

    1. Thank you, sir! We're in New York right now, staying at an RV camp. We should be in Vermont tomorrow afternoon, where we're planning on sleeping for the rest of the week.
