Monster May(hem): Yog-Sothoth

Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again.

There's a surprising number of creatures in the Cthulhu mythos that aren't HP Lovecraft inventions, and cthonians are one of them.

Monster May(hem): Hunting Horrors

Another pair of Cthulhu: Death May Die minis, another Lovecraft invention that has bugger all backstory.

Monster May(hem): Star Spawn

Star spawn are another creation of HP Lovecraft, although they're only briefly mentioned in the novella Beyond The Mountains of Madness. They're creatures that came to Earth millions of years ago and waged war with the Elder Things, eventually colonising the land while the Elder Things retreated to the oceans.

Oh crap, that's Erebus and Cadbury. My bad. Then again, having been stuck at home with them 24/7 for the past year, it's an easy mistake to make.

Monster May(hem): Byakhee

As I said in my first post about Cthulhu: Death May Die, byakhee are "interstellar predators that feed on their victims". That's pretty much it; they don't have a huge backstory. About the only interesting fact is that they weren't invented by HP Lovecraft, despite appearing in one of his stories.
